Position Summary
The Part 141 Evaluator (Examining Authority) is responsible for conducting stage checks, end-of-course evaluations, and proficiency checks in accordance with FAA Part 141 regulations while ensuring standardization, compliance, and high training quality.
Responsibilities
- Conduct stage checks, end-of-course tests, and re-tests
- Evaluate student knowledge and flight proficiency
- Provide objective feedback and determine student readiness
- Ensure compliance with FAA Part 141 and internal procedures
- Complete evaluation documentation and record keeping
- Participate in standardization meetings
- Support training quality and curriculum improvements
- Maintain safety and professionalism in all evaluations
Requirements
- CFI, CFII, MEI
- 1,000 total flight hours
- 700 hours dual given
- 300 hours multi-engine dual given
- Prior Part 141 evaluation or stage check experience
- Strong knowledge of ACS/PTS and Part 141 regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Must obtain FAA approval within 180 days
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial or ATP experience beyond instructor level
- Standardization or check instructor experience
- Aviation degree
- Chief or Assistant Chief Instructor experience
