Position Summary

The Certified Flight Instructor provides flight, ground, and simulator training in accordance with FAA regulations and approved training course outlines. This role supports student development while ensuring compliance with Part 141 and Part 61 standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide flight, ground, and simulator instruction in accordance with FAA regulations
• Maintain student training records and ensure course standards are met
• Monitor student progress and ensure timely course completion
• Initiate stage checks and end-of-course evaluations
• Ensure compliance with training requirements and safety standards
• Report aircraft maintenance issues to appropriate personnel

Requirements

• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
• CFII and MEI (if not in Aviate Pathway)
• FAA Class 3 Medical Certificate
• Minimum 1 year experience as a flight instructor
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of 14 CFR and aviation regulations
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• United Aviate Pathway participation
• Bachelor’s degree
• Gold Seal CFI or Master CFI
