About the Company

Kachemak Bay Flying Service (KBFS), a subsidiary of System Studies and Simulation (S³), provides aviation services, flight training, ISR training, aircraft maintenance, and contract aviation support for commercial, government, and military customers.


Position Summary

KBFS is seeking an Instructor Pilot 3100 to support Department of Defense training operations in Crestview, Florida, conducting mission-focused instruction and training support for military aircrew in Cessna 208 ISR and tactical mission environments.

Schedule

Training operations are generally conducted Monday through Friday, with weather-related schedule adjustments as required.


Responsibilities

• Conduct mission instructor pilot duties supporting DoD training operations
• Provide tactical and ISR-focused flight instruction
• Support military aircrew training in simulated flight environments
• Demonstrate aircraft systems and mission expertise
• Maintain professional communication and presentation standards
• Support operational and technical training requirements


Requirements

• Prior military or civilian Instructor Pilot experience within the last 10 years
• Minimum 1,000 turbine aircraft hours
Minimum 10 years military flight experience
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII)
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience working with military aircrew in simulated flight environments
• Prior experience in U-28, PC-12, Cessna 208, P-3, King Air/T-44, T-34/T-6, or equivalent aircraft


Preferred Qualifications

• Focused Cessna 208 experience preferred
• NVG experience preferred
• Understanding of ISR and tactical mission operations including:
• Strike Operations
• Video Downlink (VDL)
• Tactical Communications
• Low-Level Operations
• Tactical Departures and Approaches
• Short-Field Operations
