Description

Position Summary

The Flight Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality flight and ground instruction to student pilots in accordance with Part 141 and contract training programs. This position supports student progression, maintains training standards, and contributes to a strong culture of safety and professionalism.


Responsibilities

• Provide flight training to assigned students
• Conduct flight training in accordance with FARs, approved syllabi, and contract training programs
• Teach assigned ground training courses
• Manage student training progress and scheduling within the syllabus
• Maintain accurate student training and logbook records
• Schedule students for stage checks in a timely manner
• Maintain currency in all applicable procedures and regulations
• Maintain a minimum 80% pass rate on assigned non-final and final stage checks
• Maintain recency requirements in accordance with FAR 61.57
• Adhere to company SOPs and regulatory requirements
• Complete annual instructor standardization training in accordance with FAR Part 141
• Complete required line checks and evaluation flights
• Promote and support the company safety culture
• Report aviation safety concerns through established reporting systems
• Perform additional duties assigned by management


Requirements

• Minimum 1,500 Hours Total Time
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII)
• FAA Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)
• First, Second, or Third Class Medical Certificate
• Recency of experience in accordance with FAR 61.57
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to work with a diverse student population
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to pass a drug screening, background check, and TSA badging requirements if applicable


Preferred Qualifications

• Previous professional flight instruction experience
