Position Summary

The Certified Flight Instructor is responsible for providing fixed-wing or helicopter flight instruction while supporting student progression through professional flight training programs. This position offers significant flight time-building opportunities and serves as a pathway to future Part 135 charter opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide flight instruction to assigned students
• Conduct training in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
• Maintain accurate student training records and documentation
• Promote safe flight operations and professional airmanship
• Support student progression through training programs
• Prepare students for FAA practical tests and certifications
• Maintain instructor currency and proficiency requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Fixed-Wing Instructors: Minimum 350 Hours Total Time
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
• Helicopter Instructors: Must be endorsed to instruct in the Robinson R22 in accordance with SFAR 73
• Strong communication and instructional skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced training environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) Certificate
• Helicopter Flight Instructor (CFI-H)
• Experience in Piper PA-28 Aircraft
• Experience in Piper PA-23 Aircraft
• Experience in Mooney Aircraft
