Description

Position Summary

The Part 135 Line Pilot serves as Pilot in Command for cargo feeder operations, operating the Cessna Caravan in a single-pilot IFR environment. This role is responsible for conducting safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations while supporting the movement of cargo and contributing to the future of aviation through advanced operational technologies. The position reports directly to the Chief Pilot and is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.


Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot in Command for Part 135 cargo operations
• Operate aircraft in compliance with all FAA regulations, aircraft limitations, and company procedures
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service
• Monitor cargo loading and ensure proper aircraft loading procedures are followed
• Complete comprehensive preflight inspections and weight and balance calculations
• Conduct single-pilot IFR operations safely and efficiently
• Maintain operational integrity throughout all phases of flight
• Travel as required to support company operations


Requirements

• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Single Engine Land
• Instrument Rating
• FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate
• Must meet FAR Part 135.243(c) IFR requirements
• 1,200 hours total flight time
• 500 hours cross-country time
• 100 hours night flight time
• 75 hours actual or simulated instrument time (50 hours in actual flight)
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient single-pilot IFR skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, safety-focused environment
• Legal right to work in the United States
• Ability to pass FAA/DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time


Preferred Qualifications

• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
• Cessna C208 Caravan experience
• 1,000 hours PIC time
• Previous Part 135 operating experience
• Impeccable safety record

Compensation

Estimated Base Salary: $75,000 – $100,000
