Description
Position Summary
The Pilot-in-Command serves as the primary representative of the flight department and is responsible for safely conducting Learjet 60 operations while delivering exceptional customer service. This position supports Part 91 and Part 135 charter operations and requires flexibility, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot-in-Command on Learjet 60 aircraft
• Conduct Part 91 and Part 135 on-demand charter operations
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients and passengers
• Maintain compliance with FAA regulations, pilot qualifications, currency, and fitness for flight requirements
• Follow established procedures for reporting flight and ground irregularities
• Maintain required operational records
• Support administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and Chief Pilot
• Remain available for rotating schedules and short-notice callouts
Requirements
• 3,000 hours total time
• 1,500 hours PIC time
• Valid FAA Pilot Certificate
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate
• No accidents, incidents, or sanctions within the past five years
• Knowledge of general aviation aircraft and service requirements
• Ability to train and mentor SIC pilots
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check
• Clean driving record
• Ability to be available 24/7 year-round
Preferred Qualifications
• LR60 Type Rating
• Current Part 135.293/297 in type
• FlightSafety International (FSI) training
• Simuflite training
