Description

Position Summary

Seeking a Certified Flight Instructor to provide flight training for private, instrument, commercial, and advanced aviation students in a fleet of well-maintained Cessna 172 aircraft equipped with advanced avionics. This position offers the opportunity to teach within a structured FAA Part 141 environment while supporting civilian, collegiate, and veteran flight training programs.


Responsibilities

• Provide flight and ground instruction to student pilots
• Conduct training in accordance with FAA Part 141 approved curricula
• Support student progression through private, instrument, commercial, and advanced training programs
• Deliver safe, professional, and standardized flight instruction
• Maintain accurate training records and student documentation
• Work closely with the Chief Flight Instructor to ensure training quality and consistency
• Support specialized training programs including mountain flying and high-performance endorsements
• Participate in pilot services, scenic flights, photo flights, and related aviation activities as assigned


Requirements

• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
• Strong communication and instructional skills
• Commitment to safety and professionalism
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
• Ability to teach in a structured Part 141 training environment


Preferred Qualifications

• CFII
• MEI
• Previous flight instruction experience
• Experience working within Part 141 training programs

Compensation

• $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
• Compensation based on experience and ratings
• 800–1,200 flight hours per year achievable for active instructors
