Description

Position Summary

Seeking a Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) to provide instrument flight and ground instruction within a Part 141 training environment. This position plays a key role in developing instrument-rated pilots while supporting training quality, student success, and a strong safety culture.


Responsibilities

• Provide instrument flight and ground instruction in accordance with FAA regulations and approved training syllabi
• Conduct IFR training flights, simulator sessions, and ground lessons
• Instruct students on instrument flight rules and procedures
• Teach IFR navigation systems, enroute, terminal, and approach operations
• Instruct holding procedures, instrument approaches, and missed approaches
• Provide weather analysis, interpretation, and aeronautical decision-making training
• Evaluate student progress and ensure training objectives are met
• Maintain accurate training records, endorsements, and logbook entries
• Prepare and recommend students for stage checks and FAA practical tests
• Provide timely feedback and structured learning plans
• Adhere to all FAA regulations and company policies
• Support the Safety Management System (SMS)
• Report aircraft discrepancies, safety concerns, and training issues
• Participate in instructor standardization and recurrent training
• Serve as a mentor and role model for students


Requirements

• FAA Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) Certificate
• Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating
• Valid FAA Medical Certificate (minimum Third Class)
• Current Flight Review
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
• Open availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays


Preferred Qualifications

• Part 141 instructional experience
• Experience conducting instrument flight training
• Experience in simulator-based instruction
