Description
Position Summary
The Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) provides flight and ground instruction for primary, instrument, transition, proficiency, and discovery flight training while supporting a safe, professional, and customer-focused training environment. This position operates within a modern Cirrus training fleet and advanced simulator program, helping students achieve their aviation goals through high-quality instruction and mentorship.
Responsibilities
• Provide flight and ground instruction for primary, instrument, transition, proficiency, currency, and discovery flight students
• Maintain a high level of aircraft knowledge and serve as a professional representative of the organization
• Deliver standardized, high-quality flight and ground instruction
• Adapt instructional methods to maximize student learning and training effectiveness
• Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after training events
• Serve as a primary point of contact for student and client training needs
• Escalate operational or training concerns to the Chief Flight Instructor when appropriate
• Operate aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies
• Make timely and accurate safety-of-flight decisions
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections and assist with aircraft readiness tasks
• Produce a minimum of 100 hours of billable flight and ground instruction per month
• Manage student schedules to support training progression
• Travel overnight as required for flight instruction and pilot services
• Conduct repositioning and ferry flights as needed
• Adhere to all FAA regulations and company procedures
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certificate
• Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) Certificate
• Commercial Pilot Certificate – Airplane Single Engine Land (CSEL)
• Instrument Rating
• FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• 750 hours total flight time
• 500 hours dual instruction given
• 250 hours G1000 experience
Preferred Qualifications
• 100 hours Cirrus aircraft experience
• Additional G1000 experience beyond minimum requirements

Compensation
