Description

Position Summary

Aviation Faculty member responsible for teaching, advising, and student professional development. This position supports the Professional Pilot Program through flight and ground instruction while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, student learning, and effective training methods.


Responsibilities

• Promote all facets of flight training in support of the Professional Pilot Program
• Comply with FAA and institutional regulations, policies, and procedures for delivering Private Pilot, Instrument Pilot, and Commercial Pilot instruction
• Work with assigned students to establish and achieve flight training schedules
• Maintain accurate flight training and academic records
• Ensure course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student
• Provide flight and ground instruction


Requirements

• FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certificate
• Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate
• 275+ hours flight time


Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) Certificate
• Minimum 50 hours of flight instruction given
• Cessna 172 experience
• Garmin G1000 experience
• Experience operating Redbird AATD simulators
