About the Company

Oregon Aero Academy is a flight training organization providing instruction in both Part 61 and Part 141 environments, focused on developing pilots through structured training and well-maintained aircraft.


Position Summary

The Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) provides flight and ground instruction in a Part 61 and/or Part 141 environment, supporting student development and training progression.


** Oregon Aero Academy typically hires full-time instructors in the Spring in preparation for a busy Summer and Fall season. **

Responsibilities

• Provide flight and ground instruction for Private, Instrument, and Commercial students
• Teach classroom-based ground school courses
• Conduct pre-flight, inflight, and post-flight instruction
• Maintain student training records and progress tracking
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures
• Complete annual aircraft checkout flights with Chief Flight Instructor


Requirements

• 3rd Class Medical or BasicMed
• Commercial ASEL/AMEL Certificate
• CFI or CFII Certificate (ASEL/AMEL)
• TSA Alien Student Training (annual)
• CFI Insurance
• Ability to pass annual checkout in each aircraft type
• Strong customer service and communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

• CFII
• Bi-lingual
