Description
Position Summary
Acts as Captain (Pilot-in-Command or Second-in-Command) for engineering and production test flights. Coordinates with Flight Test Engineers, Safety Inspectors, and business unit personnel to support aircraft completion, discrepancy validation, certification activities, and flight test operations.
Schedule
• Normal work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Periodic evening, weekend, and holiday work required
Responsibilities
• Act as Pilot-in-Command and Second-in-Command for production and completion test flights
• Lead and coordinate flight crew activities for production test flights
• Conduct customer acceptance, ferry, and delivery flights
• Assist with certification documentation under FAR Parts 21, 25, and 91
• Maintain flight test records and navigation charts
• Coordinate with business units to ensure aircraft safety
• Coordinate flight test plans with Flight Test Engineering
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
• FAA Multi-Engine ATP Certificate
• 2,000 hours PIC flight time in fixed-wing aircraft
• 1,000 hours PIC in multi-engine turbine aircraft, or 500 hours in Falcon aircraft, or 400 hours operating as SIC within Dassault Falcon Jet Flight Operations
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate
• Skills and judgment required to advance to PIC in Falcon aircraft within two years
• Current government-issued passport from country of citizenship
• Possess at least one PIC type rating: DA-2EASY, DA7X, or DA6X, or have experience in production, maintenance, functional, or experimental flight test
Preferred Qualifications
• Test Pilot School Graduate
• Aerospace Engineering Bachelor’s Degree
• Aerospace Engineering Master’s Degree
• Other engineering degrees or experience
• Airplane Multi-Engine Instrument Flight Instructor Rating
