Position Summary

The Helicopter Flight Instructor provides flight, simulator, and ground instruction while ensuring student progress and compliance with FAA and company training standards. This role also supports safety initiatives through participation in the Safety Management System.

Responsibilities

• Conduct flight, simulator, and ground instruction
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and training standards
• Monitor and maintain student progress
• Maintain accurate training and student records
• Participate in Safety Management System activities
• Attend meetings, training, and standardization events
• Evaluate student performance and apply instructional techniques
• Ensure aircraft airworthiness prior to flight
• Assist with administrative and operational duties as needed

Requirements

• FAA Certified Flight Instructor – Helicopter (CFI)
• CFII (Helicopter Instrument Instructor)
• Ability to obtain a Second Class Medical
• Completion of FAA Part 141 Proficiency Check
• SFAR 73 training with endorsement
• Robinson Safety Course (or ability to complete prior to hire)
• Strong instructional and communication skills
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and training procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous helicopter instruction experience
• Strong customer service and teaching background
