Description
Position Summary
The King Air 90 Captain is responsible for operating the Beechcraft King Air 90 as a single-pilot Captain in support of Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) operations throughout Texas and Mexico. This position ensures safe, efficient, and professional flight operations while supporting customer objectives, mission requirements, and company standards.
Responsibilities
• Operate the King Air 90 as a single-pilot Captain
• Conduct all flight operations in a safe and professional manner
• Review destinations, alternate airports, weather conditions, fuel requirements, navigation aids, and NOTAMs prior to flight
• Complete pre-flight and post-flight aircraft inspections
• Fly missions accurately according to mission criteria
• Communicate effectively with the base manager, customer, and operations center
• Complete maintenance records, timesheets, and operational reports accurately and on time
• Support operational objectives and customer requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate
• Instrument Rating
• Multi-Engine Rating
• Minimum 1,500 Hours Total Flight Time
• Minimum 500 Hours Airplane PIC Time
• Ability to qualify as a Single-Pilot Captain
• FAA Second Class Medical Certificate or higher
• Ability to relocate to Texas or Mexico
• Ability to work effectively as a team member
Preferred Qualifications
• 50 Hours PIC Instrument Time (simulated or actual)
• 50 Hours PIC Multi-Engine Fixed-Wing Time within the last 12 months
• 100 Hours Beechcraft King Air Time
• 100 Hours Turbine Time
• Spanish Fluency
• Prior Cross-Cultural Experience
• Foreign Language Experience
