I was born and raised in Truckee, Ca and grew up skiing, hiking, camping, and working in construction. I’d wanted to be a pilot since before I could walk and tried to pursue aviation with my PPL a few times throughout high school but it just didn’t work out. I chose to pursue aviation through a 141 program at Gallatin College MSU  in Bozeman, Montana where I excelled and graduated among just 2 or 3 in my cohort on time with all certificates completed. In the time since I’ve graduated, I have gotten both my CFI and CFII, where I have been instructing in Truckee, flying all over the California and Nevada. I am active in my local airports activities, meetings, and plannings, and I seek out new faces and stay engaged with everyone I meet at the airport. There is a large backcountry aviation community here I try my best to be apart of as much as I can without ownership of a plane, who’s members have taught me a lot about flying in the mountains and in the backcountry.
